Woodbine Racetrack, set on 650 acres in Rexdale, Ontario, is the only horse racing track in North America capable of staging throughbred and standardbred horse racing programs in the same day. The track has undergone extensive renovation since its opening in 1956 and now has three racecourses. The venue has hosted many internationally acclaimed races including the Canadian International Stakes, The Queen's Plate Stakes, and the Breeders' Stakes. Queen Elizabeth II paid a visit to the track on her 2010 state visit of Canada to view the 151st running of The Queen's Plate Stakes.
Live Thoroughbred races run April - December and Standardbred/Harness racing runs January - May and October - December. Great dining and the Woodbine Casino slot parlour create the complete package of racetrack entertainment. Parking and admission are always free.
